New trailer & final funding push

Hi everyone

First up. A NEW TRAILER! This one using the gorgeous original score from our composer Brett Aplin which means it will play everywhere and will be used for all up coming promotion. It’s even playing at the Sun in 5.1 as part of our ‘Death on the Nile’ in 70mm season. Take a look.

Secondly. Funding! As I’ve written previously we have a substantial archive and music licensing bill which is holding up completion. We’ve begun seeking company sponsorship (among other strategies) but would also like to appeal to you; our loyal supporters who have been waiting so patiently for this film to be finished. It’s such a long road doing it this way but it does mean that I’ve been able to tell the tail with full creative control as a projectionist and I really think this is the ‘Future of Film’ documentary we’ve all been waiting for.

You may have helped with the crowd funding campaign in 2019 that got us to film in the U.S or you may be new to this blog. In any case, this final push for funds will dictate how much rare and wonderfull archival we can include. It’s the final polish that really elevates the film and it would be a shame to have to compromise now. Even if you cant help maybe there’s someone in your network that might be interested in donating or even sponsorship?

This time around we’ve set up a wonderful campaign with the Australian Cultural Fund (Creative Partnerships Australia) that has no administration fee’s, is completely tax deductible (if you’re in Australia) and has no target dependant goals. That means that what ever we raise by April 29 is what we will receive as a grant issued from this government run arts initiative. So much better than crowd funding. Have a look at the campaign site with this link and donate if you can or just spread the word in your networks and on your socials. We have to finish Splice Here by mid year to make the festival season so let’s finish it right.
