MIFF 2022

A great night at the historic Plaza ballroom for the program launch of the 70th Melbourne International Film Festival last night means I can now officially announce that Splice Here: A Projected Odyssey will be premiering as part of MIFF on Friday the 19th of August at ACMI cinema one.

Further more, I’m very pleased the screening will be a special festival event to honour Dave Thomas, beloved MIFF chief projectionist for thirty years who sadly passed away in 2020. An encore session will also run as part of MIFF on Sunday the 21st at the Sun theatre in Yarraville. Tickets will be available through the festival here.

It was always my intention to premier the film at the Sun but being chosen for MIFF and for such a special event was to magical to pass up. This will be the shorter 117 minute general release version. An official Sun premier will be planned for the full 135 minute version after MIFF is over. More on that as it evolves.
